Quzhou WLK Mixed Use Complex is a mixed-use development project, encompassing a total gross floor area of 120,000 square meters. It integrates Super Grade A offices, an international hotel, serviced apartments, immersive retail, and urban public amenities. The project aims to infuse a vibrant cultural spirit into the urban ecological garden of Wenli Lake, establishing an urban landmark that merges tradition and the future.

The design draws inspiration from the ritual and music spirit of Southern Confucianism, particularly the artistic realm of the Zhejiang school Guqin. By translating the tonal qualities of "subtlety, nuance, roundness, and fluency" (wei, miao, yuan, tong) and the aesthetic conception of "clarity, subtlety, restraint, and remoteness" (qing, wei, dan, yuan) inherent in Guqin music, the architectural massing echoes the undulating rhythms of a melody—the skyline rises and falls like notes flowing from the strings, resonating harmoniously with the distant mountains, allowing the intangible spirit of ritual and music to solidify into a tangible architectural language by the lakeside. The tower's façade system perpetuates the sonic wisdom of the Guqin's "subtlety, nuance, roundness, and fluency." Through meticulous layering and subtly curved panel designs, the façade simulates the instantaneous diffusion of sound waves from a vibrating string. Horizontal metal grilles stretch slenderly like qin strings, while the organic combination of glass with varying transparencies creates a "subtle" visual depth under the shifting light. This design not only imparts a unique rhythmic quality to the architecture but also, through the self-shading characteristics of the façade, fosters a comfortable indoor microclimate, re-establishing a dialogue between the building and nature.

The tower is clad in a delicately crafted façade with gradient transparency, elegantly tapering from bottom to top. While delineating a distinctive urban silhouette, this design optimizes the views and natural light within the interior spaces. At the base, the retail podium extends towards the lake through layered terraces and green roofs, seamlessly integrating with the elegant waterfront landscape. Connections via sunken plazas link the project to the city's slow-traffic system, deeply embedding it within the broader fabric of the Wenli Lake Ecological Garden.

Quzhou WLK Mixed Use Complex represents a profound resonance between cultural heritage and contemporary urban life. Here, the elegant soundscapes of Zhejiang school Guqin transcend the confines of the music room, sublimating into the skyline, crystallizing in the rhythm of the façade, and flowing through the spatial ambiance—finding a new expression in the holy land of Southern Confucianism.
